Mrs.
Wasserman is a nationally noted educational therapist, lecturer,
keynote speaker, inventor, and author. She is a founder of the
New Jersey Association of Learning Consultants, on the Advisory
Board of the New Jersey branch of the International Dyslexia
Association, and an accredited Educational Therapist. She is a
Certified Provider for Dr. Paula Tallal's Fast for Word
program, the Wilson Language Reading Program, and The
Listening Program.
Her
education, with specialties in Education, Reading, and Learning
Disabilities, includes a B.A., with Dean's List Honors, and a M.A.,
with a Fellowship for Graduate Study in Reading, from the Honors
Program at Newark State College (now Kean University). She was
granted membership in Kappa Delta Pi National Honor Society in
Education. She studied in the doctoral programs at Seton Hall and Fordham Universities
and completed all doctoral course work
at Rutgers. She studied at Harvard University's Center for
Applied Special Technology.
Mrs.
Wasserman received recognition for professional excellence from the
N.J. Orton Dyslexia Society, Council for Exceptional Children,
National Association of the Gifted, N.J. Association of Learning
Consultants, N.J. Teachers Association, N.J. Reading Teachers
Association, Jewish Educators of America, and National Education
Association.
Mrs.
Wasserman has been the Editor of the Association of Learning
Consultants' Journal. She is the inventor of Write and
Sew.
She
has been on the Board of Directors and Vice President of the N.J.
Branch of the International Dyslexia Society, the Board of Directors
of the N.J. Association of Learning Consultants, and
Commissioner of the N.J. Commission on Recreation for the
Handicapped. Mrs. Wasserman has been a consultant to numerous
schools and hospitals.
